Fuse Beads, 10"x30", 2019, NFS
Unframed, pinned to wall with 1 " nails, which I will provide.
I was taught to sew by my mother around the same time she taught me to read and write. I am focused on autobiographical narratives told through abstraction. For a few years I was worried that creating personal work using stereotypical feminine material would be exclusionary towards men, or would be considered craft. I am happiest when creating, no longer worried about those who do not like the stories I tells, or how I tells them. I spend my summers in the home I grew up in experimenting with new material alongside my family.
