Working with bees
found paper, tea, bees wax, 12" X 18" X 1", 2017
An interactive mixed media project, inspired by bees, intended to stimulate a dialogue about the impact human habitation has upon nature, our relationship to our surroundings and issues about sustainability.

My journey as both a studio artist, designer and visual storyteller has lead me into the field of public art and the creation of large scale installations fabricated from up-cycled and found materials. This body of work is focused on making intentional art that addresses current world topics such as global warming the destruction of natural habitats and is testimony to my love of nature, the artisan process, making my own paint, up cycling found papers and objects and mark making with hand tools, typewriters, scissors. Building the work from layers of imagery, meaning and materials.

A graduate of the Architectural Association London, now a professional visual artist, my art practice and creative life purpose are an ongoing commitment to innovating and exploring new ideas not only technically and aesthetically but also on a human and ecological level. For two decades my work has been engaged in a dialogue about environmental and cultural values addressing the impact our social and economic priorities have upon the earth. I am actively involved in provoking an emergence of ideas and creating a dialogue about these issues using my art as a vehicle in ways that express beauty, reverence, whimsy.
