The Dreamer And The Vertical Stranger

Currently I am inspired by objects that are wrapped up in their surroundings. I am attempting to depict the spirit of the inward and outward relationships among these objects and am experimenting with different media to capture the multi-dimensional perspective.

Abraham Hailemichael Awalom was born in Harar Ethiopia, and came to the U.S. in 2014 on asylum from Eritrea. A professional figurative and semi abstract painter, Abraham has exhibited internationally (Sudan, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Eritrea, and the U.S.) at various solo and group art exhibitions since 1997. His work has been commissioned both through private patrons as well as for organizations, including the National Museum of Eritrea and UNICEF, among others.

Abraham currently lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
