Luxury Is Time
Monoprint, 30"H X 15"W x 2"D, 2024
Foil plate printed on Hahnemuhle paper and mounted on canvas + mixed media. Amidst a forest on fire, the luxury brand is not the watch, but Time itself.
I employ multiple media to express themes concerning the environment to create a powerful visual impact. Sculptures of evolved Bioluminescence species of Climate Change painted with glow paint. Experimenting with foil or plaster plates to create surfaces of rich textures in my print series “Gone Trees” and “Running Out of Time.” The art underscores what we are facing in real time and the sense of urgency is important, as we are still challenged as to how we can connect knowledge into action. I hope art can be the inspiration for action.
