Mi País, Tu País
Crylic Linocut Painting, 30x50x2, 2025, $2600
Combining the Mexican and American Flags
I blend printmaking & painting into “Linocut Paintings” for both abstract and political work. I carve words and patterns into my blocks, writing about politics, parenting, & life. Both series include collage, & I have branched into installations for the political. For my collages, I weave sliced linocuts & ties together, often blending them into my paintings, forming yet another hybrid. Life today seems to be about connecting despite the world seeming to want to pull us all apart.
Rebecca Woodhouse is an abstract artist exploring the connections that bind us. Working primarily in painting & collage, she reflects on the chaotic nature of recent times.
Her work has been featured in publications like Spectrum
& PMA Magazine, & in an essay, she explores the artist’s experience of balancing motherhood with a thriving creative practice in published in the book “Give & Take: Motherhood and Creative Practice.” Woodhouse has shown extensively around Seattle, & has shown on the east coast, in California, and in Vancouver, BC.
