Rajaa Gharbi
Villages and Passages
Acrylic on stretched canvas, 36"x48", 2019
Merging a painting technique partly grounded in my own use of the alphabetical multilingual letter as a plastic art medium with ancient and current myths, storytelling and Art History, I have for the last 30 years used my acrylic paintings, small and large multimedia installations to engage viewers and myself in dialogues about shared humanity and renewed aesthetic meanings. I always aspire for my paintings and installations to be organic visual poems that nurture viewers’ passion and participation in interpreting them.
