This page contains instructions for your use of the CoCA Member Directory. Intellectual property rights to the images and the artwork depicted in the images remains the property of the artists, and may only be used with their permission. However, you should be aware that this information is posted in a publically viewable and searchable forum accessible to the general public.
Only CoCA Members whose Memberships are current are eligible to create a profile in this Directory. If you are not sure that you are a member, or not sure if your membership is current, go to https://www.cocaseattle.net/directory/memberstatus.php and enter your email address. You may need to log in to the Directory again after soing so.
Note that your membership is tied to your email address. If you are member, but your status show that you are not, you may be registered under a different email address. If your email address may have changed since you joined or last renewed, please check with us at info@cocaseattle.org to get your email address updated in our database.
If you are not yet a member, or if your membership has expired, go to https://www.cocaseattle.org/join-give and become a CoCA Member. Since our Membership and Directory databases are separate, it may take up to 24 hours before your email address is available for login to the Directory, as they are synced nightly.
If you are a renewing or returning member, you may already have a directory listing.
To find out if you are listed in the Directory, go to https://www.cocaseattle.org/directory and click on Member Artist List, then Show Artist. If you have a Directory Listing, your name will appear. Listings are alphabetized by Last Name.
If you aren't on the Member Artist List, either you aren't a member (or your membership is expired), or you may be a member, but haven't created your Directory Listing yet.
Use the Member Artist Login, and type in your email address that you used when you joined CoCA. Leave the password field blank, and press Submit. A new page will ask you to press a Send button to get a link to set your password. Since you don't have a password yet, you will need to use this button, then click on the link in the email that is sent to you. After creating a password, you can return to the login page and complete your login.
Once you are logged in, you will see a new menu of options, the top three of which essential to a complete directory listing. You can use each of thse one at a time, or you can work your way through them in order, using the Save and Continue button at the bottom of each page.
Artist Data
This includes information about your artistic medium(s), your CoCA involvment, and which information you want go make public and which you want to make private. You can also edit your address, phone number, email, website, etc., by clicking the Edit button next to Membership data. Please note that changes made here are only reflected in the Directory itself. If you need to change any of this information related to your actual CoCA membership, please contact us at info@cocaseattle.org.
Artist Texts
This includes an Artist Statement and Bio. You don't need to have both, but your should supply at least one of these in order for your page in the Directory to be complete.
Warning: resist the temptation to cut and paste from either your website or a Word document. These items can contain invisible special codes that may be incompatible with the Directory. We make every attempt to filter them out, but sometimes they get through and make a mess out of your profile!
Artwork Images
Images are an important part of your Directory Listing. You may upload up to 10 images here. Before you start, use the Delete icon (the one with an X on it) to delete the placeholder Image 1. You can then procede to upload your first image. There is a size limit of 8mb for uploaded images, and images must be in .jpg, .png, or .gif format. There is no point in submitting super high resolution images, as they will be size to 1050 pixels wide for the Directory.
In fact, submitting very high resolution images may crash the interface, and you will be left with a blank screen. If at all possible, please size your images closer to 1050 pixels wide. They will upload faster, won't crash, and the overall image quality will be better if you size the images with something like Photoshop rather than letting the browser do it on the fly.
After selecting the image on your device, add the Title, Media, Dimensions, Year, and Price. You can also add a description for each image, and finally check the box near the bottom if the artwork depicted is available for exhibition. This is useful for the Members's Show and other exhibition opportunities that may come along. When everything is complete use one of the Submit buttons to send the information.
| While on the Artwork Images page, you can use the icons below each image to work with your images: | |
![]() | View the description associated with the image. |
![]() | Edit the image, including uploading a new image and/or changing any of the image information or description. |
![]() | Remove the image from your listing |
![]() ![]() | Use the up and down arrows to change the order of the images as they appear in your listing. The images will be shown in a vertical strip, with Image 1 at the top, so the concept of 'up' and 'down' are relative to the order on your profile. |
| You can also click each image to enlarge it to full screen. Click the image again to return to the editing interface. | |
