CoCA’s ongoing publication initiative, now CoCA Press, was initiated in 2009 with the release of a beautiful hand-bound letterpress edition for the first “Heaven and Earth” exhibition, and now boasts over fifty volumes. CoCA Press sustains COCA's arts literacy commitment and intentionality of extending all arts beyond gallery spaces. The publications have expanded the definition and reach of the ‘catalog’, serving as manifestos, textbooks, social commentaries, calls to action, public resources, and other functions that are core to CoCA’s mission.
