The Unfinished is an original music score to the archive pictures of the 228 Massacre and the White Terror that followed, marking the beginning of this journey in fighting for Taiwan’s independence.
Chienn is a musician and multi-media artist, her work uses digital media, performance, and sound to translate introspective emotions into sensory experiences. She explores how technology can reflect psychological states and embodied realities, often drawing attention to overlooked social issues. Her art incorporates themes such as sustainability, gender, and bodily autonomy, aiming to foster empathy, spark dialogue, and create space for complex emotional and political conversations.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Chienn Tai (she/they) draws from a multidisciplinary background in acting, dance, composition, screen scoring, and multilingual interpretation. Now based in Brooklyn, she holds a master’s from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. Her diverse experiences shape her artistic voice, combining technical fluency with emotional depth. As an activist artist, she channels personal and collective narratives into work that bridges cultures, disciplines, and identities.
