Created with pile of images and sound I've taken, the video is an exploration of how real, familiar places is transformed by emptiness, objects, and ambiguous movements. The recurring sequences of stills without figures reveal the artifice and take us out from the moment in film itself.

As a 1.5 generation immigrant, I experienced how ethics shift depending on the environment. I am drawn to the gap between individual worldviews, and the real world conflicts that stem from cultural, linguistic, and social differences. My practice investigates the spaces where rules and boundaries separate individuals by identity, culture, or status. Working with assemblage and layered materials, my work becomes a space for these narratives at opposite end to coexist, revealing that the societal order is constructed and unstable.
